apologies if this has been asked and answered--i did search, but didn't find a response.

aside from apco 25 capability, what will the forthcoming bcd396t add to the (already formidable) features of the bc246t?

i find it hard to imagine there'd be a better radio--the bc246t is an amazing piece of technology. but new toys have a powerful allure to people like us . . .

thank you.

For me, one of the big additions on the upcoming BCD396T will be the inclusion of the 225-400MHz Mil Air band!

I never heard Paul from Uniden confirm that - do you have any more specifics?

thought i read the fire tone out "offically" somewhere. Sorry to miss lead you, but i am expecting the tone to act as a fire pager. just an assumption however...

That is most people's assumption (mine as well), but nothing has ever been confirmed on it yet other than the feature's name.

UPDATE: See the BCD396T thread - Fire Tone Out has partially explained, and it does appear to be a pager-like feature.
