BCD396XT] Proscan Quick keys

I just noticed that my scanner will go automatically to public safety from scanning and I cannot turn if off and that the fifth line S0 is missing 1234 has 5 missing 6789 has 0 how do you plug these numbers in and that the GRP has no numbers.............again how do you plug these in...tried the manual nada.

is it safe just to reset it then just free scan the frequencies again???

It's very hard to follow what you are saying... The second row of keys requires you do press the FUNC button first.

You can reset the scanner and upload again too if you want.

There is alot at once...........basically its scanning my groups fire ems police etc then it goes into custom search Public saftey and searches automatically. Just wondering if i have to hit function then something or would it be easier just to reset the whole scanner to factory with the 2-9 hold then just download off RR and freescan...

While the service search is running, just press L/O once for temporary lockout or press it twice for permanent lockout.

DDan is correct.
Alternatively, you can hit the menu button (lower side button on scanner)
Scroll down (using the knob on top) to "Search for" Hit the Eyes key on the lower right front of the scanner.
Scroll down to "Edit Service". Hit the Eyes key.
Public Service is the first band in the Service Search section and it should already be hi-lited. Hit the Eyes key again.
Scroll to "Search with Scan" and hit Eyes.
Scroll to "Set Lockout" and hit Eyes
Scroll to "lockout" and hit Eyes to permanently lock the system out or Temporary L/O if you want it start up again as soon as you turn the scanner on next time.
This procedure works the same for all the Service Search banks and is similar for any Custom Search banks you put in.
