Hi,

I am not sure i understand the recording capabilities of the BC436HP,
The instruction manual says you can record and playback transmissions in a 1 sentenced description.
but doesn't go into to detail so here is my question:
I would like to tune to a dedicated channel either a conventional, or a talkgroup channel.
hold on the channel (no scanning) select record and walk away all day and expect it to record any traffic that breaks the squelch. Is this possible?

Thank You

Yes, you can do that. All the traffic that breaks the squelch will be recorded. In fact, I know people that have recorded several days worth of traffic--- theoretically, you can record up to the capacity of your card.

By default, the radio always records at least the last 30 seconds of reception (circular buffer) as part of the "Replay Option". This is a user defined setting which can be set up to 240 seconds. To hear that played back, you just press the REPLAY button. You can't turn it off - only reduce the time to 30 seconds.

To record more than 240 seconds, you can enable full time recording that saves all recordings - press FUNC then REPLAY.
