i have a generic walmart 32gb Micro SD Card in there now.. and it's still the same as before.. im still having to use the trunking discovery favorites list with all the systems in there just "for backup"

i might still send it in and maybe trade it in for a SDS-100 if this 436 is beyond repair when i send it in..

More than likely it popped a RX amp by the overload from Radiation or Magnetism less than $100 and shipping.
There are several users here that would buy that for $100 in the Classifieds send it off to be repaired for $100 sell it for $350 to $400 and double their money.

i've got a little cable tv pre-amp from ebay could i hook that up to the 436 and see it does (see if i can replicate "that fault" ) so i will know for sure ?? wouldnt hurt right ?? or no

Does not work that way the Circuit is open inside the scanner.

got ya but its not protected from stuff like that from the outside world ??

It is a PLASTIC CASE very little RF Shielding
Scanners receive that same damage from being close to a RF Transmitting 2way radio.

well that day i should've just left the 436 in the truck for at least 4 to 5 hours.. thats my stupid bone-headed mistake
