No changes here over comments a year ago. 396XT flat out more sensitive vs 436 when used as handheld (antenna attached to radio) for all but 800 MHz. Maybe some noise going on with back and forth writing to SD card, the LCD display, or something. But very noticeable difference. Don't see this with 996 vs 536, but of course using better antennas. Interesting to see if same would occur between 996 XT/P2 vs 536 using crummy stock antenna attached to radio. Think I might try that.
