I bought this scanner last year and have had to return it because of the headphone jack recall. I now have a problem of the RTC battery not keeping a charge(which I have contacted Uniden) and the receive on the scanner has greatly diminished. Here is a video that I took today to demonstrate what I am experiencing. I am having this issue using the stock antenna as well as an external antenna. I am able to receive the very local agencies and nothing else. I have checked and made sure all of the correct services are on as well as the correct monitor lists.
Is anyone else having the same issue?
Is there a way to correct it?
Should I just send it back to Uniden to repair both the RTC battery and the receive issue?
Does the BCD436HP have the same issue as I ordered one just a couple of days ago?
