Minor problem that can be managed . . . I noticed I get RF noise on HF around 40 meters when using the BCD996P2 while using Proscan via the front USB port on the radio.
This only happens when Proscan is open and actively communicating with the scanner (e.g. logging). If I kill Proscan and leave the scanner on and USB hooked up, the noise goes away. I can see it pretty well on my Icom R-8600.
I tried adding some ferrites to the USB cable on each end (it already had some) but no help.
So just be aware that this can happen if you're trying to track down HF noise.
