Bcd996p2: west orange site, bayone pd, North Bergen

Have a bcd996p2 with a d130nj discone antenna lost the west orange site and bayone pd and fd and analog feg for Noth begen all nj any help thank you

Ok, a little more info....i'm assuming everything was working prior to this post. So first test...can you receive any of those agencies without an external antenna. If so, disconnect the coax and connect an antenna to the back of the scanner and post up results. Want to rule out scanner programming issues such as accidental service lockout or something else before we start diagnosing the antenna.

The Garret Mtn subsite recently switched from the West Orange simulcast cell to the new Passaic County simulcast cell. As you're well north of the remaining West Orange subsites, that's why you don't receive it anymore.

What do you mean by West Orange site? Are you talking about the West Orange trunked system or are you trying to listen to the West Orange simulcast on NJICS?

The west orange simulcast nice was rec it now it has gone silent I am in bergen County and have a bcd996p2 scanner any help thank you

This was already explained to you. The site on Garret Mountain in southeast Passaic County is no longer part of the West Orange simulcast. That was almost certainly the site you were receiving from Bergen County, and is the reason why you can no longer receive the West Orange simulcast.

You either need a better directional antenna such as a Yagi to try to pull in the remaining West Orange sites, or you will only be able to listen to the sites you can receive with your current setup.

Garret Mtn is now part of the Passaic County simulcast, which is listed in the database. I'm sure you're more than capable of finding that on your own. Note that you will not hear as many or the same talkgroups on that site as you did before on West Orange, and there is nothing you can do about that, unless you can upgrade your antenna to maybe pull in the West Orange site again (no guarantee you'll be able to do so).
