I recently purchased this scanner and programed my first two groups of conventional frequencys. The problem i'm having is when your in the menu and program the frequency were do you find the next slection that will allow you to alpha tag that particular channel ?. I know in the menu there's a " Edit Name " I went into this but the cursor stays on the frequency thats programed and you can move the letters right and left
and according to the manual the text is suppose to below the frequency thats programed. is there another key that allows you to move the cursor down so you can put the text in ?

You might want to pick up the programming cable and since your a Preimum Subscriber to RR you can use the FreeScan software to import data right from the RadioReference Database into the software for uploading to your scanner. It makes it allot easier. :)

"Edit Name" is the right place to change the alpha tag. I think you are confused because the default alpha tag for a conventional frequency is the frequency. Just enter the tag over the frequency.

So when I enter the alpha tag over the frequency will it display both the frequency and the tag ?
