BCD996T programming

I downloaded the Fleetnet zone 1 OPP frequencys to my scanner using ARC996.I went into the menu to find that band plans were not set properly and channel spacing as well as offsets.I looked into the back of the manual and saw an item that the scanner could be changed to a type 1 scanner setup.It said to check the uniden website.I could not find the info anywhere.Does anyone have more info on how this is done and what it does ?
It is on page 128 of the BCD996T manual. Thanks Russ

It should be set to Mot Type 2 / vhf...For further reference, try the Eastern Canada Forum...

Hello,
In the past I have connected the BCD996T to the PC and downloaded directly from RR.I could turn on the scanner and listen right away.The files downloaded now are not setting the bandplan frequencies,channel spacing or offset.What has changed ?I can still download files to the BCD396T and it works fine without the need to set anything.I am listening to the Primrose tower on fleetnet.

Try downloading them again, they download fine for me on both my 996 and 396. Have you tried uploading them to the scanner again, on a couple of rare occasions on my 296 it wasn't right the first time just re sent the system and then all was fine.

I just tried the download, everything worked fine... Don't know what to tell ya. I dl'd my county in ZONE 2 maybe you could try another one and see if it's something with the specific one you are trying?...

I reloaded the Fleetnet,Simcoe county,Primrose,OPP wide area & Central to the scanner.The scanner displays 156.03 while scanning.I checked and the band plan,channel spacing,offset did not download properly.I will go into the menu and set them right and it will scan properly.The scanner didnt have the new firmware in it when it arrived used from a ham in the USA.AS a matter of fact it was also missing the mounting bracket,12v cord,cig lighter cord.I have yet to get a reply from the seller about that.I updated the firmware from uniden with no problem.
