Anyone know what system/frequencies BCIT Campus Security is operating on? The security is provided by Paladin Security so would it be under that? Wasn't able to find anything on RR, scanbc,or TAFL. I also attempted Spectrum Management System, but haven't been able to get it working since that stupid pointless upgrade they did to their system! Why change something that was working fine...

I was referring to the Burnaby Campus but could it be those frequencies are just registered at the downtown one, yet used in BBY? Haven't heard anything on those as of yet, but will keep listening. I assume they would be digital?

Didn't see Burnaby mention in the original post.

Try this as well. You will have to determine the emission, I'm too far away.

Code:
462.03750	462.03750	BURNABY BC 4355 MATHISSI PLACE	BC INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY CARI CAMPUS BCIT	12080711001
462.03750	467.03750	BURNABY BC 4355 MATHISSI PLACE	BC INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY CARI CAMPUS BCIT	12080579001
467.03750	462.03750	BURNABY BC 4355 MATHISSI PLACE	BC INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY CARI CAMPUS BCIT	12080579001

You're right, I neglected to mention that. Most people around here automatically default to the Burnaby campus as it's the main one, but I now understand.
Thank You, I'll give those a try

Those frequencies are for the Campus themselves, not Paladin Security, they are on their own trunk, 462.0375 is the Knowledge network TV facility,
460.4625 is BCIT Burnaby however Paladin is not on that , I will get you information when i return home.

I live within 1 Km of BCIT I have listened to 460.4625 for several years with it using analog FM. They
switched to DMR and I started listening again after I got the upgrade for my 436HP. The 462.0375 I
discovered while frequency searching. As I understand it BCIT is BCs leading school for broadcasting
studies both on and off air . BCIT operates a low power FM broadcast station for hands on experience
for radio so it is reasonable to assume Knowledge Network would use students as interns. At the end of the school day many students at at the bus stop in front of KN driveway.

Just a tip for you here...

I think you just need to put a little more thought into how you actually search for a company / organization in the TAFL. For example, I imagine you searched for 'BCIT'. Well that isn't the institutes "official" name.

I searched for 'BC Institute of Technology' in the TAFL and was able to find all of the frequencies others mentioned in this thread. See here;

Mapped Results > Canadian Radio Spectrum Licence Search

BTW, that TAFL Search with Google Maps Output site is great now that he has fixed it to work with the spectrum management system. :)

Cheers,

dwC
