BCT-8 do PLs?

Im looking to purchase the BCT-8. I have a few questions on it.

1) Can I put PLs in for my channels??

2) Will the scanner search for PLs also??

3) Is the display a Alphanumberic display and how many characters?

Our EMS dispatch serves the same channel as a neighboring countys EMS dispatch also.. I would like to add our PL in there to avoid there dispatch.

If you need all of that, try looking for a 780XLT. The only caution there is that in a few years the 780 will not be able to follow Motorola trunk systems. If that's not a concern, a 780 will be fine.

i have a BCT8 and our EMS works our parish and a neighboring parish. either pay atten. to the fainter signal given by the neighboring county, learn which units are in ur county vs the units in the other, or get a scanner that does PL's, i find that its easier and cheaper to do the first 2.

I know our EMS tones very well. I know the other counties too.. I just want to keep it seperated. Im going to get the 780.
