BCT-8 Question

Hey guys.
So woo whoo got my bct-8 today and have no idea how to use it. Trying to program everythign i can find for chatham-kent, sarnia, windsor and london. But not sure how to do this all and set up edacs and type2 settings and all that. Looked at the manual a few times and i still dont get it Can anyone tell me how to do this as easy as it can be lower down to? I have a bct-7 too and i know how to program that. But not the bct-8. Help me out you kinda guys... If anyone can

I have the cd that came with the unit. PLus the ARC8 and im still dumb and cant figure anything out. Plus the freqs on my btc7 i put into the 8, and i cant hear all of them, can on the 7 but not on the 8..Do i have a settign wrong or something?

You're not dumb...todays scaners are not easy. I'm not real familliar with the 8...I just know that software makes it much easier. Good luck...I'm sure there are plenty of folks on the board that can help. You may even want to do some searching in the Uniden forum. There is probably a BCT8 yahoo group you could check out too!!

I have A BC1V scanner. And the audo is very nice but there is a hum background. Is there any kind of mod to resolve this problem? And the tail at the end is loud to. Any help will be appreciated.

Whats the advantages of the ARC8 software over the provided software that Beartracker provides? I would like to be able to import directly from the RRsite into my Scanner.......Thanks In Advance, Mark
