Is there an official release date on the BCT15x? I've head varying answers from different vendors but no one seems to have a specific date. thanks.

We hope to receive them by the end of August. However, the arrival date is very near the end of the month, and depending on overland transit times and the queue at the dock...it will be a close thing.

Pricing decisions are made by the dealers...I can't speculate.

Thank you, UPMan! I appreciate the feedback.

smason, scannermaster.com and bearcatwarehouse.com are both saying that the pricing will be very close to, if not the same as that of the BCT15. I guess we'll find out for sure in a couple weeks.

Cool, thanks.
I'm close to buying a 15, since they're available at $220 ish from several dealers, but I may wait.
Decisions decisions...

I would wait. If you still want the 15 it will be cheaper once the 15X comes out. If you end up wanting the 15X it will cost the same as the 15 does now.

DaveIN - I saw this as well. thanks. I think their announcement that this will be available "3rd week of August" is a little misleading, as Uniden themselves haven't even received them on our shores yet.

official release date of bct 15xt

Is there an official release date on the BCT15x? I've head varying answers from different vendors but no one seems to have a specific date. thanks.

i wonder what you expect in a new release product? i have been in contact with the uniden undercover dept,
and i am greatly dissatisfied with what im being told. its gotten to the point where i dont know if im in discussions with the buffer (scannermaster) or the actual precinct (uniden), but i must say one thing; why bring out a "new" product, if it is not meeting and exceeding customer (my/your) expectations. to make a long trial short, the buffer or the precinct has only one suggestion, buy the 996xt. (why?)
Sir if you contact the buffer/the precinct, and ask product specific spec's questions, they will become annoyed, and suggest you just by the 996xt. im going g.r.e. IF i decide to purchase another scanner again.
this all seems to be a joke with some manufacturers.

This is the only company to announce a price so far. You read the when from UPMan. You can't find a new BCT15 any longer with exception to refurbished.

flyr-myles: Not sure what your question was (or who Uniden undercover is) but if you'll clearly state it somewhere in the forums, I'll do my best to give you a clear answer.

If your discussion was as cryptic as your post, it's no wonder you didn't get the answer you sought.

I'm a firm believer that before one can get an answer, one must know the question. (Except on Jeopardy, of course).

Should be there by next week (assuming they've placed orders with their distributor).
