I just got a BCT15 and BCT15X myself. I haven't programmed them or did much yet with them and I'm not planning to until after Thanksgiving and maybe even Christmas. I'm going to program mine with military aviation frequencies.
Your problem is a simple fix I know (to get it scanning what you have programmed). But unfortunately, at this time, I can't tell you exactly what to do. It's been a long time since I've used one of these older dynamic memory radios. But it really is something easy to correct I know.
I think what you may have done, because I did this myself When I plugged in my BCT15 and starting to see what was on it, Is you accidentally hit the button on the top right of the knob for tuning/changing things. It's the big knob. If you hit the button in the upper right where the knob is it sets it into scanning state's pre-programmed info. It's just a matter of getting it switched back over to the mode for scanning your programming and not the pre-programmed states, services, etc. I'd look in the manual and look at what those buttons around the main rotary knob are and then search the manual for what you see on those buttons. It should explain it really fast and let you know how to get in and out of whatever mode you are in. I see on your screen that it looks like it's searching your custom search perimeter for custom search 1. I'm legally blind and I couldn't really see with the camera moving what all it might have been searching or scanning.
I'm going to keep an eye on this thread myself. Did you try turning it off and then back on to see if that would take it out of that mode you accidentally put it into? I don't know if that will help or not but I do promise you it's something really simple and I'm sure somebody will have an answer for you really fast. I just wanted to let you know that you don't need to worry too much because it's probably a very common issue people have but also it will be an easy fix for you.
I haven't even looked at my PDF manuals for either radio other than to view that I downloaded them correctly and they were the right manuals. But if we haven't been able to get it solved and someone hasn't been able to help you by this evening, I'll look at mine and come back and and give you a hand. I don't remember what I did but I got mine out of the accidental mode I put the radio into and it took no time at all. I'm not looking at any of my two 15 models and I have to get ready to leave. But if you still need help when I get back later today I'll be happy to look at mine and look at the manual, if need be, and assist. Good luck and I bet you'll have it back to normal in no time...
