Dear friends I was wondering .. With My S/S2 6 element antenna out door on the 25 ft mast . Is thee even a remote chance that installing the 9 pin serial wire into My Pavilion elite I can forgo the antenna wire hook up or is that imperative for proper operation ???

Huh?

The 9 pin serial connection is for Programming or Controlling the scanner. It has nothing to do with antennas.
