A little break and spinning the dial, I came across a beacon I have never logged so caught a new one.

That's the Canadian time station CHU out of Ottawa, Ontario. They use an unusual modulation scheme. There's a carrier and an upper sideband. But the lower sideband is suppressed. It can be copied with an AM receiver at 7850 kHz

They also broadcast on 3330 and 14670 kHz

Interesting. It does break with an ID I couldn't make out, but this doen't have the tones like the 3330 and 14670
It is like a digital data stream. AM it sounds like hash broken by that ID. at first I thought it may be a bouy.
If this is a time signal, I would suspect so form of clock synchronization system.

OK, I was able to break this down. 7850.00 CHU and another modulated signal at 7849.xx
A subcarrier? not certain. both seem to have different proagation.
I'll need to reconfigure my Airspy and see what I can do with that.
