You can still use the above procedure to make sure the upgrade is actually installed to remove the possibility it isn't.Yes, when I bought it they programmed in DMRKEY update key.

What does slot2 mean on my scanner. Once I hit some frequencies it locks on them and says SLOT 2. Then I have to manually start the scan again. What gives? Thanks.
Uniden says "channels" when they talk about talk groups but also when they mention conventional frequency channels, it's very confusing to a lot of us. You can see that in Sentinel when you look at conventional frequencies and at TG's.So I guess what I'm asking are channels talk-groups, analog frequencies, etc.?
You have found a control channel that either continuously sends data or just in short bursts. You will have to move those frequencies to a OFT system, one for each frequency if they happens to use the same TG numbers. What gives?
Which software have you ended up using?Hi,Everyone. I still have this lingering question that nobody really answered. I,ve got the frequencies for Portland General Electric logged in the scanner but every time it hits on a frequency that I want to scan, the readout says Group 7, slot 2. Then the thing won't scan any farther. . How do I get it to keep going after this. So far all the help got me to hear PGE people out working on outages, so I know I'm on the right "something". Is there a way to put these in a bank to scan by themselves.. I can live with this where I live since only 2 frequencies are used in my area. Any suggestions? Thanks, Phil
It's probably control channel data being sent on that slot. In your programming of the Group 7 talk group you will find an option to select DMR Slot. Set that to Slot 1.the readout says Group 7, slot 2. Then the thing won't scan any farther.
