Is there a software update for this scanner, and can any one tell me where I can get the software to program the scanner. It was working fine 2 days ago and now all of a sudden it will not pick up New Castle County Fireboard. It will pick up everything else, and I know that is works on NCC FB because that is what I was listening to when it just quit. Thank you for your time. Dan Brown

Do you mean a BC250D?

Yes I just found that on the back of my handheld scanner.

Does it stop on that channel at all? If it doesn't then maybe you locked it out by mistake. Turn the scanner on and press the HOLD/MAN button. Then rotate the scroll control, located between the HOLD/MAN button and the RSM button until you come to that channel. If you see L/O in the top right side of the screen next to the channel number, that means the channel is locked out. If it is, press the L/O button and it will unlock it. Then press the RSM button to resume scanning.

It isn't locked out. All it does is scan the channels, it never stops on transmissions. It's weird because it is all of a sudden.

Is this a conventional frequency or a talk group in the Delaware State Trunk System?
