Best batteries for 396

I started out using Energizer 2500 mAh batteries and bought a combo 15 minute quick charger with 4 2500's for about $30.

I have since changed to the Duracell 2650 mAh batteries and am very happy with them in my BCD396T, Pro-97, and Icom R5. I still use the quick charger and really like it.

I use my batteries and charger daily and have found that both the Energizers and Duracells last about 6 to 8 months of daily charge/discharge use. They may last longer, but I have only recently started writing the date purchased on them to see how long they last.

I ordered and received (thru thomasdistributing.com) a “Powerex” MH-C204W charger/conditioner a few days ago ad I have already noticed a difference on the batteries that I have charged. They are now lasting a good 8 hours rather than the 5 or so that I was getting using a regular charger. I have three sets of batteries that I keep on hand and ready to go, I use “Kodak” Rechargeable Digital Camera Batteries (2500mAH-NiMH). So far I have been very satisfied with theri performance.

I bought the Sanyo 2700's and the LeCross charger off Amazon. I saved a good chunk of change and so far everything is working great
