Better Instructions

I'm using the arc396pro software to program my BCD396T scanner and it's hard to say if I'm getting all the steps right. Seems like something is missing. Is there a better set of programming instructions for trunked radio systems with this scanner/software? Or can someone recommend a better section of the forum than what I have read through so far?

This does not pertain to the software, but to the scanner. Maybe the Easier to Read manual will help you step through the menus on the scanner after you are done programming with software to see if there are any mistakes.

This is nearly impossible to diagnose without a better understanding of the problem. Exactly what is the problem you are running into? What system are you trying to program? Go up to the blue toolbar, click on database and select the system - then supply the URL. Are you getting messed up with the quick key business (that confuses lots at first)? Is the system type you are programming incorrect?

If it's a system specific question, such as trying to program LWIN, you might want to go to the Louisiana forum. No doubt someone there can steer you straight. If LWIN has multiple sites, you would need to program each site seperately, since this scanner doesn't support multi site trunking. I would also dump the ARC396 file into a zip (compressed) file and attach it to the message - this is really the only way folks can diagnose your issue. 73 Mike
