Well, it's almost that time of year...

which means malls, stores, and other related businesses will be very active soon.

These are the kind of frequencies I personally enjoy, so I thought I would start a thread for it.

Anyone have *verified* frequencies for malls, stores (Walmart, Target, Sears, etc), or related?

The only one I have that I have personally verified is:
Buckland Hills Mall Security - 464.825

The Buckland Mall maintenance frequency is still a mystery, however I have noted they use Motorola SP50 UHF radios.

I also have possible freqs for Buckland Cinemas, Office Max, Walmart, and Target... I will post them if I can verify who they are :)

-Mark

P.S. Stay tuned for my "Its almost Winter -- find those DPW freqs!" posting

anything for Westfields Meriden Mall Security?....or target stores???....i live about 1000 feet from the 2...

Then shouldn't YOU be giving them to US? :p

For mall security I would start with the "local control" freqs:

464.325/469.325 464.375/469.375 464.425/469.425 464.475/469.475
464.525/469.525 464.575/469.575 464.675/469.675 464.775/469.775
464.825/469.825 464.875/469.875 464.925/469.925 464.975/469.975

For Target, do you know the store number?

1373 maybe?

License for Target in Meriden: WPTQ644

461.0375
462.9125
466.2875
469.4875

Let us know if you find anything! :)

No problem. If you are able to hear it, let us know what the PL is. Maybe we should add this to the DB?

Also, if you're up for the challenge, do some direct searching. I know Wal-Mart, Target, Office Max, Buckland Cinemas, and possibly a couple others use radios, however I have not been able to accurately verify any of the freqs.

My notes say:
154.6000 Manchester Buckland Hills Cinema / WALMART??
467.8500 Manchester Office Max
467.8000 Manchester Target
467.9250 Manchester Target

Let me know if you believe any of these to be correct.

May also want to search FRS+GMRS, I believe Sears and some clothing store are using it for store-related activities (illegally).

Target is also licensed for 462.9125 and 469.4875 MHz. The freqs appear to be the same for all stores statewide. Same freqs/PLs found at Corbins Corner Target.

154.600 and 154.5700 are pretty common. They rarely change the frequencies in the units. Here's a listing of frequencies for the SP10, and programiing info if you ever come across one:

Many Manchester area stores are on FRS. I know Christmas Tree Shoppes in Manchester uses FRS Channel 2. I noticed several store employees at Buckland Hills Mall using FRS radios as well. Business use of FRS is prefectly legal; however, business use of GMRS is not. I think the JC Penney Catalog Distribution Center in Manchester may be illegally using GMRS 462.675.

Any idea on the PL?

I noticed several store employees at Buckland Hills Mall using FRS radios as well.

Which stores exactly? I believe I saw Sears and some clothing store.

Business use of FRS is prefectly legal; however, business use of GMRS is not.

GMRS business use is legal as long as you have a grandfathered license. Otherwise, you're required to have a GMRS license: http://wireless.fcc.gov/services/personal/generalmobile/

I think the JC Penney Catalog Distribution Center in Manchester may be illegally using GMRS 462.675.

Cool, I'll have to check that next time I am around there.

Much thanks for the input. :) If you can answer any of my questions it would be appreciated.
