This is what happens when nobody in local government talks to each other, or knows what's going on.

All Law Enforcement is on VHF DMR
All schools are on UHF DMR
County Highway is on 800Mhz NFM currently, and just got a license for UHF NXDN.
All Fire and EMS are on VHF NFM.

... and this is one of the smallest and poorest counties in the state. 🤦‍♂️

Department heads there listen to slick talking salesman who promise them the world only not be able to I produce. That's one of many reasons why I moved away twenty five years ago. Came back ten years ago for two years and way involved and tried to discourage the DMR switch to no avail. I have thirty five years public safety and communications experience but nobody wanted to listen. I tried to push the interoperability to them. So again I moved away to another county, close and still hear of the issues on horror stories.
