Command Post North

Attached are the pictures of "Command Post North" - I spend approximately 3 months out of the year here at my home in Montana, and obviously I need a place to work.

Equipment is an Icom PCR2500 and a Radio Shack Pro-2006. I also bring a BCD-396 with me as a portable digital radio.

I just yesterday installed the Radio Shack Outdoor Scanner antenna, and the results are fantastic. My home is at approximately 5000 Ft above sea level and overlooks the valley. With this new antenna, I can receive all the way to Missoula which is a good 130 miles away.

Scanner Listening is quite fun here in Whitefish/Flathead Valley. Between the ski resort and the weather here, listening is very fun and much better than the "closed" approach that San Antonio is.

Very non-hamsexy setup, LB.

What do you use under the big chair to protect the hardwood floor from getting marked-up like a cheap cell-phone screen? Can't really see anything in those pics.

Believe it or not the floor is pretty durable and the rollers on the chair are decent plastic which hasn't marked up the floors yet.

That is a great looking office, and that monitor on the Mac looks huge! Big thumbs up on the Northern command post too. Wow that looks like beautiful country.... I'd have a hard time leaving that!

On CP South Beautiful! looks better than the last set of photo's with the Wire track going through the wall. Must be nice being the HMFIC of the Largest Scanner Resource site in the world. I think I'd have pretty umbrella's in my Martini just because!

CP North is very nice, the Wood work is brilliant. I think I'd have to install a tower on that mountain seen behind the cabin and Microwave simulcast from the tower to the cabin.

Great stuff!

I wanna see the pics but none of them will come up !!! What the deal???

I didn't see this thread when it was originally posted and missed the pic's too. Lindsay, if they have been removed, what are the chances you can re-post them?:D The shack sounds great!

Thanks,
Todd
