I own a Uniden BCD996P2 scanner that I would like to listen to with a pair of bluetooth earbuds. This scanner does not have bluetooth capability. So, can I purchase a wireless transmitter that will plug into the headphone jack on the front of the scanner that will allow me to connect to the scanner with the earbuds? Is this a simple, straight forward process or is it going to be something very complicated? Secondly, if this does work could the same procedure be used to connect to bluetooth hearing aids? Any help is appreciated.

I also bought a Bluetooth transmitter from Ama-of-the-Zon to use in the car and in other locations. It worked very well.

That's how I do it.

I'm hoping the engineers re-evaluate adding it native to the scanners.
