BNSF "MCIH"

On a Phoenix area Local this morning the crew asked for a warrant and told the Dispatcher: " Just to let you know we have 2 MCIH in our train today".

I was able to catch it at El Mirage but the majority of the train was blocked by the ballast cars there and I was unable to see anything unusual in the train.

What is an MCIH?

I heard in another forum that MCIH probably meant Methyl Chloride Inhalation Hazard.

Couldn't tell you. Never heard of MCIH, just IH. -Engineer on Class 1 Railroad.

I hadn't either, but he clearly said it two or three times when he was talking to the dispatcher, and the dispatcher repeated it.

Someone else said it might actually had been "Empty IH" instead, which would make sense but it seemed pretty clear to me at least that they said MCIH.
