If you have a trunktracker, I would definitely listen to Marine Ops on the NJSP Motorola system. Basically the entire state marine ops is patched onto a single talkgroup, so you hear all the action.

Bezking is right, when I visit the Big Apple I listen to friends scanner that has that talkgroup programmed in it, very busy. Also check out the RR WIKI as it is listed under the NJSP trunked bandplan under interagency & mutual aid talkgroups. Check out the RR NYC maritime channels to familiarize yourself with the marine bandplan, the WIKI also includes some U.S.C.G channels under the USDOT however that might be obsolete now that they are a division of Homeland Security, NYC DOITT also has an assigned marine talkgroup. The RR WIKI has marine & U.S.C.G. frequencies listed under the Federal Government & Military sites. Check out N2NOVs site under "maritime resourses" for a list of marine & U.S.C.G (Including LANT) frequencies. Hope this helps.

PS: Your marina had a license (Now expired) to operate on 156.45 MHz 156.675 MHz 156.725 MHz & the standard 156.8 MHz under callsign WHF936 however I bet they are still using them. Also courtesy of RR member "JerseyMilair" in post #12 on 04-26-07 on page 9 of the Marine forums he provides the latest U.S.C.G UHF aviation frequencies:
345.0 MHz Primary Air
237.9 MHz Secondary Air
326.15 MHz Primary Air to Ground
379.0 MHz Secondary Air to Ground
These are nationwide allocations as I've not only seen post loggings on the: www.groups.yahoo.com/group/iscanmarine website but have monitored them myself.

From the list that fineshot1 provided, monitor the following channels:
9, 16, 17, 21A, 22A, 23A, 81A, 82A, 83A. 81A, 82A, & 83A are listed as U.S. Government, but they are used by the Coast Guard. 17 is the Marine Police VHF channel. Although they operate on the state trunk system, they have capabilities on that channel also. It is also used by the tow boats. The 300MHz frequencies that FLRAILMAN posted are also used by the Coast Guard.
