Body recovery? Davis SAR

Something odd happening up in kaysville on Davis SAR. Located near irrigation reservoir in the middle of the city. They keep talking about getting a person "out" on a stretcher, but they do not seem concerned with time or victims condition. Also talking about "IPS" coming up from Salt Lake. Don't know who they are. I just heard them talking about the fact that they've "got time". Recovering a body? What in the world is IPS?

yep, they just dropped the term "M.E." which I assume is medical examiner. I guess its an echo.

Sure it was not DPS? Dept. Public Safety? Kinda odd though about a body being found, wonder what the situation is.

I'm pretty sure it was "IPS". They said it like 10 times.

I believe IPS is a mortuary transport firm. Had contact with them in Wendover when they transported one to the Utah Medical Examiner's Office.

I.P.S. Stands for Independent Professional Services. It is a low-cost mortuary/crematory. When an indigent person with no family passes away, some local governments contract with IPS for removal.
And now for some rather unusual humor, some cops say that I.P.S. really stands for:
I Pick-up Stiffs. Independent Professional Services Located across Redwood Rd from SLCC.
BTW, in addition to the homeless, they also clean up nasty crime scenes I am told.
