lowboy, I just saw this post. I've been doing some major note-taking on Boeing's sytem in general. It's hard to figure out what some of these are, but I got a lot of unlisted TGIDs that might be of interest.

FYI, I'm referring to the WIDE area system - not the Everett plant specifically.

Have you been keeping track of which talkgroups appear on which site? I did a little bit of listening earlier in this year, mostly at night. I found mostly custodial talkgroups, and it makes sense that each plant would have its own set.

I work at BOEING, and listen to BOEING while at work they have 2 trunk systems one for Everett and a plant wide system that trucking is on plus a few others. They no longer use the fleet map system

Hmm, I'm confused a bit.

So, from my QTH in Bellevue, I can pickup Sites (2502)-002 and -006. According to the site freq list - it appears that 006 is the Everett plant. Is this correct?

Lowboy: it would be nice if we can organize all systems into a single BOEING group - and just include it in all King/Snohomish/Pierce/Kitsap County sections.

PS. I didn't get a chance to get my to my laptop with my saved tracker logs. I'll sync them up tonight and post the TGIDs I've seen.

Yes, that's the Everett channel of the Boeing Wide Area System. There's also the Boeing Everett Plant system.

Is this what you're talking about? Just click "Show all in one table" right below the system frequencies.

SO what BOEING trunk system are you listening to? they have 2 systems one is puget sound plant wide and the other is for Everett I dont know if they can be patced into each other

If Nick is picking up sites 002 and 006 then he's definitely listening to the Wide Area system. One system is used exclusively in Everett. As for the patches, I can't say for sure either way.

Well, if you read the RR database, the -06 site has the same control channel as the Everett Plant. That's why I'm asking what the deal is... are they patched? or are they two completely different systems?

(My assumption was that they're the same...)

Looking at the misc notes, my logic was that the -06 site is the same - just with two different antenna sites. One is local to the plant and the other up on Gold Mtn (as the notes say.) Is my logic incorrect?

I didn't notice that--I'm out of range of a lot of the Snoho stuff, and it has little relevance to me so I never look at it.

This looks like a call for Willrobnson, as he recently studied this system.

Actually, I just checked INW, as it's usually more accurate. And the page about the Everett system doesn't list a control channel.

Still all suspision, but here's my theory:

Yes, there are two systems. Everett has its own system, and it can probably be patched into the main system. Since it's a different system, it has a different system ID. I know for a fact 2502 is the sysid for the wide area system. I don't even have to look it up. In fact, earlier today, I stopped a guy on the street and told him that 2502 was the sysid for the Boeing wide area trunked system. No, I actually didn't.

Looks like a bunch of frequencies centered out of Everett are related; I'm guessing this other system, which used to be a Type I, now a Type IIi (hybrid), is still separate.

Basically just ignore what I said and look at the pretty pictures and it should make sense :D

Hehe, yeah, he picks up the same issue. I'm getting 854.7125 very well here. I'm only a mile or two from the Eastgate facilities. I know they have a customer support site there.

Hmm, I'll have to go get my yagi and turn it toward Eastgate and see if I can pinpoint where the signal is strongest. I thought it was coming from Gold Mtn..?

A few years ago Boeing converted the whole Puget Sound area to a single type-2 system (2502). Everett is 16 (dec), Bellevue 6, Wide 2...

How about the control channel for Boeing Everett then I will take my laptop and one of my scanners down to Everett and let it log what it can. I will just drop it off at a friends house and let it run for 24 hours and see what I can get with unitrunker. I know I have it on one of these scanners but there has been very little activite for some 50 plus days Hum!? how could that be.

How about someone here giving up the active control channel for Boeing Everett. I would like to change this system and I believe that I am in range to use unitrunker on it.
