I'll be there rain or shine. I might toss a couple dealies on a table or I might get lazy and simply spectate and shop. I'm not especially eager to get rid of anything and I'm not really shopping for any particular items.

I've been to this Stinkfest.... sorry Hamfest before. It's the last good one of the year. Typical Hammie stuff including the usual non-ham junk like tools, old computer parts, porn, crafts, tires, porn, clothing, water purifying stuff, porn, army surplus and oh, did I mention PORN?!?!

I went, got soaked. It was pretty miserable. We did have a couple hours of less-rain but it was late in the morning/early afternoon. Attendance and vendor counts were horrific.

What ever happened to that black guy who used to do the RadioExpo announcing? All class while distinctively hammy. Now, we have locals trying way too hard to sell thier food and *shutter* 50/50 raffle tickets by way of folksy plain-talk over the PA. Non-stop.

The wrestling is totally bizarre. The less said, the better.

I was unable to make it. A family emergency had me out way late after I got off work at 0200.. But judging by the weather I didn't miss much...

I know those fairgrounds way too well when they get muddy... They're no fun.

Bet the deals were good though...

Wow, what a **** bomb hamfest this was. That's putting it lightly.

I think it would have been better if it wasn't raining, obviously. There were some pretty good outside vendors on Saturday that said "screw it" and didn't come back Sunday. There really wasn't much of a selection besides the usual "yellow table cover" dealers who sell the generic mobile antennas, batteries and different RF connectors.


Besides the social aspect.... I probably wouldn't have returned on Sunday.
