Bowling Green Area Nextel

I have been unable to receive any of the Nextel business transmissions in the 860-868 band, even any of the control channels. Is this the result of these transmissions going digital? Neither of my radios, 780xlt or 296 have been able to receive any transmissions. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

NEXTEL is not monitorable by any scanner and never will be.

I have had the same problem. I have a 780 and 246 and have never been able to track either. I am not sure what the problems is. I believe that Monarch (one of the supposed users) operates on 464.92500. I have also never found a CC for the GM plant. Sorry I can not be more help.

And by the way were are not talking about NEXTEL Cellular service. In this area nextel has a large amount of trunked systems for use by various companies, hence the discussion control channels, etc.

I know Nextel in Nebraska has shut some SMR off due the rebanding. Even if there were customers were Law Enforcement type, they no longer kept them on then air.

I used to recieve this trunk and then one day it just disappeared. I have noticed a couple of businesses that were on it are now on the Davis 800. I just assumed nextel shut it down. Please let me know if you find out different.

Don't waite on me to get back with you. I have gotten very busy and will not be able to listen at all for some time. I would be interested in any information anyone has on this.
