When scanning, I can hold down FUNC and scroll through the system names. Is there a way to do this for groups? While in a system, I'd like to see what's the name of group 1, 2, 3, etc.

I can do this by drilling down into the menu, but I'm looking for a quicker shortcut.

Thanks.

Erik,
While in HOLD mode, hold in your func key on the side and press the 7 key. This puts you in recall ("rcl") mode and will allow you to select a system. Once you have the system indicated, press the E key or push down the selector knob. Now you will be able to see and select your groups. Then you would be able to see your channels and select one to monitor.

Thank you! That's exactly what I was looking for. Just got the radio and I'm learning more about it - this helps a lot.

Glad to help, Erik. The dynamic memory radios are quite a paradigm shift from the bank-based radios that most of us grew up with. It can take a little time to learn all of the nuances that make the radio easier to use, but the more you play with it, the more you'll get comfortable with it. I have several radios and the 330 is by far my favorite!

Thanks. I never took the time to learn about the recall function and how to use it.

AM.

Thanks AM. I'm glad it helped and hope that maybe some others learned a new trick along the way. I certainly have benefitted from many of the posts here on RR.

I am really liking the 330 the more I use it. I have my systems and groups pretty much the way I want them, and the whole dynamic memory organization rocks!

I am reading the manual, but for some reason skipped right over the recall function. After reading your hint, I checked that section again and sure enough, there it was. The manual leaves a little to be desired, but all in all the 330 is a great package.
