From what I know it's a very good radio. There will always be a compromise in a single radio that does everything, but for the beginner it's all in the BR330T. Uniden discontinued it which was a mistake in my opinion. Ask around on these boards someone may know of a place that has it for less money. Let me put it this way if I didn't have the radios I alredy have I'd be looking for one myself.

depends what you compare it to, but it is hands down the best analog hh trunk tracker out there...
I have the BR 330 and can tell you this is one great radio. Hated to see Uniden discontinue the radio got it about a year ago for a gift it at that time was only $259 however looks like since they discontinued it that they marked the price up a bit. It in my opnion receives just as good as the 396 without the digital ability. You would not be going wrong with this radio unless what you listen to is digital.
