BRANCHBURG -- One person has received burns to his hands in a chemical explosion at Voltaix, 197 Meister Ave.
A landing zone for a medivac helicopter to transport the victim is being established behind the North Branch firehouse on Route 28 adjacent to Raritan Valley Community College.
Fire officials report a working fire in the building.
North Branch Fire Department is responding to the explosion, but other fire departments are being called to the scene.
The Somerset County Haz-Mat Team has also responded to the scene.
Meister Avenue is closed from County Line Road.
