I'm using a Uniden 996 and really love it. I have a GPS receiver connected to it and whenever I go hither and thither it turns on the appropriate channels to listen to. I did have to use a power speaker.

There was some SWAT activity near my house tonight.Did any of you hear anything on the scanner in the Friendly Hills area of Louisville? I saw the LMPD chopper doing orbits just south of my home and by the time I got my scanner it was over and I heard a SWAT unit telling air-10 that everything was 10-86 and that they could leave, then I heard them say to release the med unit.There was nothing on the news so I'm not sure what was going on.
