BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Broadcast Screen

OK, I have had the scanner some time now and at first I was trying to know everything at once. It got confusing so I started simple until I understood better. OK I see in Sentinel and the "Easier to Read" manual about this Broadcast screen. I understand in a search you can select PAGER, FM, UHF TV, VHF TV, and NOAA WX. Selected it will search without hitting on those frequencies. BUT next to that on the right I see Custom Band Range 0 - 9 Lower and Upper. OK now are these selected frequency ranges (example) like 169.000 lower to 172.000 upper? Then these frequencies will be ignored? So a person could select 10 different ignore ranges?

I couldnt figure out why having broadcast FM selected as a close call unit to skip could also affect a custom search of 88-108 mhz,but ok,it is what it is.
I dont think this was the case with the 396t and 396XT.

Broadcast screen affects all searches. Same as BCDx96XT scanners, everything on this page affects all search modes:
