I'm pleased to announce that Broadcastify is making available, for free, the archives related to the January 2025 Los Angeles area wildfires. We are making them available as single downloadable consolidated files for each day for each feed.

We'll continue to pull and consolidate additional days and additional feeds as warranted.

Anyone is free to share, remix, analyse, and make commercial use of these audio feed archives as long as you attribute the work to Broadcastify. We suggest "Audio Provided by Broadcastify" as a proper attribution in your works. Our audio feed archives are governed by the Creative Commons License here: Creative Commons License v3.0

These archives have been consolidated and will be available without expiration.

Lindsay:
Thanks so much for your work in putting this together. If you could give a similar treatment to the "Los Angeles City Fire - Grounds" feed that would be a great help. Los Angeles City Fire was the initial responding agency to the Palisades Fire. (Interestingly the "Los Angeles City Fire" feed archives are missing during the initial response (10:30am on 1/7/25) but this appears to be covered by the "Los Angeles City Fire - Grounds".

Those are coming soon.

Those feeds had sporadic availability during the fires....

Hi. Just an FYI, if you're looking for the original dispatch, it can be found in the LAFD CH4/CH7 dispatch archive rather than the main LAFD feed. I heard it perfectly there. BTW, they were really quick to respond and called for 20 additional companies and air support in a couple minutes.

It's the one on Jan 7th at 10:30AM. You can forward to 2:40 mark for the start of the very first dispatch.
