I use a ChromeBook that is also capable of running Android. The P25rx manual refers to BT Config software that can run on Android. I know it is Linux capable and with some modification to the Chromebook it would run BT Config also but then it is Linux dedicated. I use the experimental APK on my Samsung Phone that is available but wondered what the manual was refencing with an Android version of BT Config?

Thanks

2.1 Operating System Requirements
The BTConfig configuration software is a Java-based application that requires
Java version 1.8 JRE to be installed, and an OS capable of USB CDC-serial-
communications. The software may run on Windows, Linux, OSX, Solaris, and
Android systems meeting this requirement. Only Windows 7, 10, and Linux
systems have been tested and verified to work correctly as of 3/02/2020. No
other drivers or dependencies are needed for Windows 7, 10, and Linux systems.

Sorry, I only intended to imply that it may run on these platforms if they support a runtime Java 1.8. I'm not familiar enough with Android to know if this is possible. The only native support required is due to the serial communications library JSerialComm. JSerialComm native code is included for several platforms including Android and Solaris. I don't know of anyone making either of these work yet. In addition to Linux and Windows, BTConfig is reported to work well on several Mac platforms with later versions.

Works perfect on my Mac with OS version 11.4.

how does your Mac work downloading the DPD file from RR in the download csv file in the Talk Group editor? Mine hangs up doing this and lock up the software. Everything else seems fine on my Mac. Big Sur 11.4 Latest Java Intel processor. I have a mother Mac user testing his to see if he ends up having the same issue. To get control back I have to Force Quit and when I restart the SW the talk groups are full of gibberish because I discounted before it finished.

Mine did the same thing. Also had to do a force quit as when it hangs as there does not seem to be a time-out that give you control back.

How I got it to work was to remove the blank lines in between the header and the TG data. Still had just a few line with gibberish towards the end of the import and I had to clean those up.
