If I use the console option to "skip" a talk group, how do I restore it?

I use the 's' command from the command line. It toggles the skip on/off. I believe the skip button in the console tab operates the same way.

Great, thanks. I don't think the console button will reestablish it when it's in a skipped state because it won't appear. The "s" command should work.

I entered "s 1024" and got the response TG 2007 skipped for 60 minutes. So I entered the same thing again and got the same response.

I use the 's' command in both my display project and my android app. I only use it as 's'. It skips active TG. I do not know if adding a TG to the command is supported.

The 's' command only skips the active talk group with the current firmware. I can make it take an argument for the talk group and toggle on/off if that would be desirable.

I most often use skip when something is happening involving multiple talkgroups and there's also a lot of traffic on an unrelated talk group that's not so important. In most cases, a 10-minute skip would resolve the issue. BTConfig seems to have a 60min default which seems really long.

Even better. I just set it to 5. If for some reason, I wanted a particular TG off longer, I'd disable it in the Talk Group Editor or move it to a lower priority. I've been using the priority levels as an alternative to scanlists. When it's really busy, I disable some of the lower priorities which I can do rapidly in the Talk Group Editor. The flexibllity of all these programming options really makes the P25RX's stand out in the crowd.

When something hot happens, I've been setting the related Talk Groups to a higher priority level. Especially when the activity involves multiple TG's. That allows flexibility to monitor an incident activity without it being at the expense of everything else on the air.

This setup is now outpacing my 4 TRX-1's and 2 G5's. Great stuff.
