right now shows online and 109 listeners but i havent heard anything in well over a day (not listening 24/7 but close enough that i could hear it -- do have other feeds that are working fine so it's not like the volume is muted or something like that...... thanks

I live near Kansas City and have always been curious about why the listener count is so high for that scanner. I suspect many of the listeners might be fake. I pulled a 30-minute recording from last night (Friday) between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m., trimmed out the silence, and you're right--it was completely silent.

yeah - definitely think that the number of listeners are off -- 340?! and nothing in the feed archives?!

They took the entire feed offline due to too much information being put on social media, and Buchanan county sheriff's department has went fully encrypted over the weekend st joe pd to follow soon.

That may be true, but they’re streaming silence, maybe to retain RadioReference premium features. Who knows?
