Any expert Uniden users please help... I want to be able to, on the fly, pick 2,3-5 channels out of the (for example) "county fire channel group" and quickly drop them into a "FAVORITES" group so i can scan ONLY those selected channels. You hopefully remember that the GRE/Whistler radios (PSR 600, or Radio Shack PRO-651) units all had a FAV key... I could pick out "objects" while listening to a fire or whatever incident, point them to the FAV "bank" and then hit that FAV key to listen to only those channels...I could do it with conventional channels or dig TG's... it was a great feature that i miss in the Unidens since i live in an area where Phase 2 systems are all the rage now... but anyway, if anyone has figured out how to, on demand, pick out let's say a dispatch channel, a command channel and a couple tac channels and manually create a scannable group please help a brother out.... Thanks all...

As Doc pointed out, the Uniden scanners do not have anything like a Favorites scan list. You can assign a number tag to a frequency or talkgroup, but that only works for one item at a time. You can put your favorite frequencies or talkgroups into a group and turn on that group and turn off the other groups using quick keys. Here is a PDF file which will answer all of your questions about using quick keys. Print it out and save it for your reference.
