Recently my old Dell XPS that everything was running on just the way I liked it under Widows 10 bit the dust. So got a new Alienware Aurora and was forced to run Windows 11 and start over from scratch. Anyway tonight I re-downloaded ProScan, installed it and when I went to put in my registration codes it comes back and says, "Maximum Installs Exceeded Per The License Agreement". So, I guess if you have a computer that dies, and cannot remove the software from a dead computer you're screwed". Pity. I loved the software, but I simply cannot bring myself to re-purchase it again, just so I can run it on my new box.

This is not something I ever envisioned happening when I originally bought it.

Completely false assumption on your part. You've been on these forums long enough to know that Bob at Proscan always takes care of his customers for such issues and doesn't deserve the bad commentary in your post. Drop him a request to his support email:

God forbid you take 10 whole seconds to go to the ProScan website to read the FAQ, where you would've found the following. 🤡

Q: How can I transfer a ProScan license from my old computer to a new computer?
A: On the old computer, go to the Tools menu then click on Remove Activation. Then on the new computer, go to the Tools menu then click on Enter Registration Key. if the old computer is no longer working send an email to support@proscan.org.

Why didn't you send me an email? It would have been resolved a couple hours ago.
