I have input of 22 Freqs, in my area "Medford", so far I am receiving approx. 7 or 8 .
I have a Pro-2096 with the std antenna.
I do plan on installing a roof mount,in the spring.
In the meantime , I would like to receive more of the local, PD/Fire.
Any recommendations for added Freqs. in addition to the ones on radioref.

Thanks

Enter the Medford site of the system only in one bank, there are 10 frequencies plus the base and offsets. You should hear all the local FD/PD in you have programmed the radio correctly. Also FYI Medford PD is not using the system for primary comms, they can be heard on 501.3375 and 500.6375.

You only need the control channels and alternate control channels for the trunk system.

In fact, you can use all 25 Controls and Alts in one bank for this scanner. Win96 imports all data perfectly, ready to upload to scanner and enjoy.

Are you using Win96?

I had originally tried to manually program my 96 for Burlco and had much frustration and no luck. That adventure is what got me off my wallet to purchase Win96. Being a donating member here and using Win96's web import made programming Burlco so simple.

Ok,

The file is Burlington . p96 . txt

Notice the two periods

I cannot upload a file to this forum with .p96

Thus I add the suffix .txt to the file, fooling the forum to think it's a text file which it will except for uploading.

The actual file looks like this. Burlington.p96.txt.

When you click on the attached file, your PC should give you a popup dialog giving you the option to save to disk. Check that option and click OK, notice where it goes on your disk, mine goes to desktop, but yours may go to My Documents. To use it, you'll need to know where it is.

When found after download, put the mouse on top of the file and right click. This should blue the lettering underneath the with the prompt flashing after the last letter of .txt. Click behind that t and backspace through it, the i and the first t and the period after 6. Then Click beside the file, this should give you a warning regarding changing file extensions Click Yes. You now have a p96 file which you can open with Win96.

Question: Should I program all of the separate zone sites for Burlington County (ie. North Central, North East, etc)? All I have to say is that this has to be one of the most complicated TRS systems in this area to program manually...

If you are using the Pro-96/2096, you won't be able to set the tables without Win96 software. However, they can have all sites in one bank with CC & alt CC's only. The 250/785/296/796 BearCats will require the sites in separate banks, each with the Tables correctly set.

I trust that would be the same with the 396...

That seems to be the problem I had programming Philadelphia's TRS (I had all freqs instead of Zone 1 and Zone 2 in separate banks).

How does Burlington County have so many TGs in the first place?
