151.625 is a low power itinerant business frequency allocation.
Here are others in the VHF allocation
You may hear more than delivery or buses. Construction companies also use them such as traffic control. Many applications are licenced under this use from ISED Canada.

151.0550, 151.0850, 151.1150, 151.5800, 151.6250, 151.9250

172.2900, 172.4700, 172.5000, 172.5900, 172.9200, 172.9500, 172.980

Any major fleet will have their own dedicated frequency or they will be on one of the trunked radio systems. The other option is as you have discovered that are using the VOIP G4/5 (LTE) system.

Depends. What bus line? Most up this way are on local repeaters. They likely wouldn't be talking to each other if in Ottawa for a trip.

Most bus companies can be found anywhere depending on size of the fleet and the needs for coverage. Could range anywhere from VHF or UHF conventional or could be on any of the trunking systems listed in the database. One I know is I think based on the Quebec side, but a lot of users are buses in Ottawa. Forget which system at the moment that was, but it was a UHF NXDN system.

I do have the NXDN buses programmed in, but I do see the Renfrew bus dropping off students to their homes.
Am I able to inbox you about what I have found from ChatGPT and the other database then maybe you could help me narrow some down?

Ok, so I program these and I don’t hear anything. If I can get the right freq. for like Premier Bus Lines uses and any other bus fleet other then NXDN, that would be helpful. Also if I program local repeater that would be good if I can get those freq's as well.

I found this for Carleton Place. I am in Kanata, so I’m thinking maybe I can hear it. It is a duplex system I will check to see if there any other locations

I think I'm too far out of this location to get that freq. but nothing would make me happier then to get the freq. I need to hear all of the bus companies I can. So, if any you guys can do, that would be awesome :)

I did call Premier Bus Lines and they said they are digital but their antenna on their buses are small and the antenna on Voyago are taller.
I don’t know how to find it but I do know they use NXDN as well but a small antenna

I found something interesting. This bus company is on the NXDN trunk system I already have, but when I go to this trunk system it says it their name. Maybe the Premier Bus uses this. I heard this company already.

I found these

420.0375, 420.0625, 420.0875, 420.1125, 420.1375, 420.1625, 420.1875, 420.2125, 420.2375, 420.2625
from the AI tool NXDN freq. I’m thinking I would get something out of them. At least I will give it a try.

I just programmed an ONQ NXDN site. I got signal bars. I'm just wondering should I program the two ID I see for the bus, or should I do search for ID? After yesterday I know they operate on digital and they are in Kanata and other area close by. I just need to know how to narrow it down.

if you have the site programmed in and verified it is decoding the site then search for TG. You should also be able to do the same setup for the local DMR sites.

But what I know so far is they have small antenna on their buses in Kanata which would be my main focus for them, and they are digital. So are you saying that they would be using what I program ?

Ai did this

I had AI do this code plug can anyone tell me what to do with it?

Ok, so I am monitoring the system but no traffic yet so I’m thinking I need more sites. I mean I'm really thinking they are on this system and considering the have a very small antenna size does anyone else have any suggestions?

@Muxlow @XBrandonEdwardX are you able to inbox me? I think maybe you guys have some idea about NXDN systems :)

AI narrows it down to NXDN 48 bandwith as they have small antenna so that system has 2 TG ID but it's the wrong name for that company.

I'm here a lot
Can someone else other than Torontoteamone tell me what Alias is broadcast on talkgroups 421, 4027 and 4028 on the ONQ network?
Picture proof would be perfect for confirmation.

You're not going to be able to listen to this one. It's only active on the Barry's Bay and Foymount Towers. That's it. The only user of the Ottawa site is going to be The Sunshine Coach in Renfrew, that's it and only when they are in the city with a customer. Usually for a Dr.'s appointment.

In the meantime, here is what I can offer up.

159.720 - PL 141.3 - This repeater is in South Ottawa (Osgoode area) last I heard something on it, it was a bus line. Not sure which one, but one likely in south Ottawa. Tower location is in Vernon.

159.555, 162.510, and 164.310 are all licensed to Direct Transportation.

I had 165.435 licensed to First Student out in West Carleton, however it's not listed any more in TAFL listings.

165.810 and 166.545 I had licensed to First Student in Cumberland, however only 166.545 shows up in the TAFL listings now and licensed to First Canada ULC out of Kingston.

167.190 - Cassleman, 151.025 - Vars and 462.3125 - PL 156.7 - Ottawa, are all licensed to 417 Bus Lines,, 462.3125 last I had heard were school busses.

168.945 I had listed as Laidlaw Transportation, however this is no longer listed in the TAFL listings either.

173.490 I had listed as First Student - Nepean, however it's no longer listed in the TAFL listings.

460.1125 I had listed as Stock Transportation, however it's not listed in TAFL listings either.

Last I listened to this system, it seemed to have a bunch of bus lines on it.

Talkgroup 13 I have listed as a school bus as well.

This is all I can offer up. The Excel radio system is the one to listen to for buses.
