Need help Trying to figure out how to make a favorite list

Which radio do you have? Favorite lists apply to the HP line of scanners (HP-1 / HP-2 to the SDS 100 / SDS-200). This software won't work for them

The 996P2 uses Systems, Groups and Frequencies.

Here's an Easier to Read Manual to help you set up your scanner.

I guess what I'm having problems with is. I have 3 counties the county I live in and 2 neighboring counties. Okay I only want to pick and choose a couple. Talk groups from each county and scan them. So my scan list is shorter

Simple.

Program only the talk groups you want hear, then make sure the scanner is in ID SCAN mode

Ok so what I'm gathering is the whishler ws1065 does what in looking for but the uniden 996p2 does not. With the wishler scanner I have 1 bank for 1 county another bank for another county and so one and then I have another bank just for a couple talk groups from each county that I scan

No the Uniden 996p2 will do what you want it to do. The only Difference is how it is named.
Whit Uniden 996p2 you can have more Favorites List than Whistlers Banks.
Whistlers can only have 1 Trunking System PER BANK.
Uniden You can Have Several Favorites Lists Assigned to 1 QUICK KEY
Example
City X Conventional
City X NXDN
County C DMR
State P25 Trunking
All 4 can Share QUICK KEY 1
Or set them up as
City X Quick key 1
City C NXDN Quick Key 2
County C DMR Quick Key 3
State P25 Trunking Quick Key 4

Good, but How do I get each Individual talk group into a quickkey i see how a can put a site in a quickkey but I'm not seeing it in less it's the number tag

I watched the video again all I seen was he made quickkeys for Whole towns not individual talk groups

Butel sofrware for whishler ws1065 is alot easier it let's you pick and choose what talk group/ channel you want in what bank you choose
