ARCXT: Butel vs Onedrive

If this has already been discussed, sorry.
The One Drive in computer somehow up-dated itself. Now my ARCXT software is acting up.
Trying to up-date my 996xt and keep getting message about baud rate setting not matching between scanner and program,
Has anyone else have this happened last few days??

I'd disable OneDrive, if at all possible. M$ wants to force everyone and everything in Windows to use OneDrive, but quite a bit of software disagree strongly with it.

Disabled the One Drive. There appears to be an issue with the ARCXT.
It's recognizing and programming the325 no problem,; however,, it doesn't work with the 996XT
I'm thinking the problem is in the driver for the cable.
Fortunately was able to download the conventional and P25 stuff from the 325,
to the old Freescan software. It uploaded the information to the 996XT without any glitches.
I'll have to make due with that for now.

And before anyone says it, not interested in Proscan

Connect your BCD996XT. Go to the Scanner tab in ARC-XT and click on Communication Setup. Click on AutoDetect Scanner. Click on OK once the scanner is detected and OK again to close the box. Go back to the Scanner tab and click on Upload to Scanner. It should work. Do the same for the BCD325P2 if you have the same problem,

Morning tvengr,
Tried that before my original post. Uploading to the 325 no problem however when uploading to the 996xt the program
only enters a tenth of the info. By that I mean most of the conventional frequencies in the scanner are blank.
With using the older Freescan everything is loading into the 996. Starting to think it's a glitch in my copy of ARCXT.
I don't think there's been an update in months, Maybe the problem is the 996xt itself.

Are you using the same cable for FreeSCAN and ARC XT?

Please attach your ARC XT .rsf programming files so I can take a look at them. You will need to zip the files to be able to attach them. Click on Attach files and open the zipped files.

I am using the same cable for both ARC XT and Freescan.

Happy ending. Did a reset of the 996XT this afternoon. Tried programming it with ARC XT and it worked (go figure).
The reset appears to have undone what ever the One Drive did.

OneDrive acts as a virtual drive on a Windows PC. In their infinite wisdom, Microsoft thinks all software should be loaded on a virtual drive, regardless how said software is programmed, which usually the software looks within its installed directory and subdirectories for all its program files. Needless to say, this futzes up software installation when OneDrive is activated.
