Med 8. 463.175. Med 7 463.150
Med 6 463.125. Med 5 463.100
Med 4. 463.075. Med 3 463.050

Every C-Med region in CT (there are 5) utilizes Meds 1 - 10 as well as any of the new frequency assignments (not which frequencies they added as of late). Each region plus the statewide common have different PLs.

Statewide = 203.5
Region 1 - South West = 123.0
Region 2 - South Central = 167.9
Region 3 - North Central = 118.8
Region 4 - Eastern = 131.8
Region 5 - North West = 192.8

Here is some reading for you: http://www.ct.gov/demhs/lib/demhs/t...m_operational_reqs_for_uhf_medical_radios.pdf

APX, how long ago did they "get rid" of Meds 11, 12, 13 & 14 and went to the new splinter groups?

I think those four were only really known as Meds 11-14 locally. In some places they are called something like "med-tac" or just used by local services. The 10 primary med channels and now the splinter channels are recognized nationally.

For those that don't know what channel we're talking about:
453.025 - 11
453.075 - 12
453.125 - 13
453.175 - 14
and their 458.xxx repeater inputs.

Thanks for the interesting reading Izzy! Well, there goes what's left of my fingers! Programing this is going to be a major pain on my poor hands! LOL....WOW! Now then, what mobile radios out there have the capacity to handle this huge set up? I'm curious!

I only remember those 453/458's in the old APCOR's [Rampart this is Squad 51], with the exception of Hospitals that used them for Paging, until the 90's when they become more open in the Public Safety Pool.

Anything with the channel capacity. Most mobiles out there at minimum are capable of at least 128 channels. The biggest issue with anything like that is training. From listening to radio traffic on Southwest & South Central CMEDs, is sounds like none of the services are doing sufficient radio training.

That is the new med lineup. the 453 or old med 11-14 are still used but they are marked for tactical.

It would be so cool to have those 4 channels as a state wide simulcast system on the CSP backbone for statewide EMS interop....

All the C-meds have to narrow band in under 400 days so that should be something.
Just think of all the old radios that wont do narrow out there in services like AMR.
But im sure since they had years to plan they are all set (insert sarcastic tone) LOL
