I'm just getting into scanning and would love to be able to interface my PRO-97 with my MAC (OS X 10.4.3).

Does anyone know if there is software/hardware for the MAC?

Thanks!

I'm not aware of such a package for the PRO-97. Macs in the shack can be a real challenge, although many persist with it. My advice? Leave the Mac for your other interests and get yourself a cheap used laptop or PC for your radio stuff. It's easier to find the software and cabling for what you want to do...and most radio sofware will run on otherwise outdated hardware/OS platforms.

Thanks Specman. Maybe down the road some HAM/Mac Addict/Programmer will develop something.

It looks like a cheap PC or Virtual PC (a program them emulates PCs on a MAC) for now!

Virtual PC and the Radio Shack USB-Serial converter work like a charm.
