That was a Contra Costa Fire vehicle and was replaced by Porcupine IIAt one point they had one in Sacramento that had "porcupine" on the side by the hood. It was covered in antennas, including low band whips and an HF antenna. Somewhere in one of my files I have a photo I took at one of the NAPCO meetings.
Maybe some of you should be working not posting unauthorized pictures of PSC vehicles. While I was getting my F-150 serviced at the Ford Quick Lane in Bakersfield this one was there for service also.

Id hate to be the tech with that truck...I have enough trouble hitting some of my sites with a short bed extended cab...8' bed 4 door must be a bear to manuver on a mountain road....but i would like the room he has.

LOL they were discussing updating the Spectras in that van ten years ago, when one of the ACS guys rebuilt an Oasis trailer in his yard. This was at a public event in San Diego. All pics with the enthusiastic approval of OES personnel.
There was a Fly kit they were demonstrating on HF ALE and were talking to SAC State EOC in digital on 40 meters
Crystal clear!
These vehicles were from SOCAL and will likely be replaced in the near future budget permitting
I still use some discretion. Maybe it's from having been too many places in the world where taking pics of things can get you killed or worse.Take pictures and post government vehicles pictures whenever you want. Post government buildings pics too! Need to keep track of what they are doing with our money! We are in charge NOT them. 1A
