Steve Jones @ the guys in Cambridge area got this first but I shall report it nonetheless:
It seesm that Cambridge CACC has switched from their conventional system to Fleetnet. I heard some activity on the Cambridge N T/G off the Balinafad tower this AM here in the killing fields err Rexdale 8) .

Yes they have

I have listen to Cambridge all day up here off the Wingham, Listowel and Durham towers, also talked to a paramedic yesterday who confirmed they were doing the switch. Grey/Bruce (London north) seems quiet today to wonder if they switched too?

Perhaps Grey/Bruce did. I cant get any of there towers here in Toronto. That is a question that prob should be asked in ScanOnt. Have u heard any of there t/g's active?
Are you hearing both Cam N and S? I havent paying that much attention (am at work :p ) but have heard Cam N off Ballinfad.

Both Cambridge North and South are active on Fleetnet now. Also been hearing lots of patches to Grand River Hospital in Kitchener on TG 36688 which was reported to be South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Chesley on Radioreference. I submitted the proper info to the Data base.

Heading up to Bruce county this weekend and I'll report if there's any London North activity on any of the pertinent towers up there.

Based on what we know (the last time they "switched" it was due to a problem with their VHF gear) I'd be more skeptical of a switch than optimistic about it.

I was listening to the conventional frequency 152.330 last night from Barrie, and I heard them say *unit* switch to *static*. be advised we're not using cambridge 2 *static* and it's been static ever since. I guess this kind of explains that...

London North was on 155.9700 last night. It's doubtful they switched.

My scanner won't accept TG 36688 for Grand River Hospital. Any ideas why? I'm using win95 for my pro-95. I programmed everything else ok I think although no action yet. I live by the Baden hill. Is this too far away for the Cedarwoods site? Does anyone have a site location map?

Thanks,

Rob

Is the Pro95 scanner one that trunks by following the low speed data on the voice channels? If so then you might have to subtract 16 from the talkgroup id.

There's a site location map on the Scanont Yahoogroup.

Rob

It's a valid TG so should accept it. What is the error message? If it is like the PRO-92 it won't work properly on anything except the basic TG i.e. TG+0 anyway. With no analog activity on Zone 2 around here, I can't check very much except to say that I'm not impressed by the '92's handling of VHF trunking, from Zone 1. I hope the 95 is better.

Rob, I don't believe your scanner trunktracks VHF-Hi . I didn't see any
mention of programming (VHF) when I viewed the on-line manual.
I see it does UHF-Lo and other Motorola's( I ,II) and EDACS.
Sorry, but I think that is the problem. :(

From what I have read on the Scanont list, the Pro95 does not do VHF Trunking.

Well I guess that would explain the silence. On the Rx mode I've put one on Mototrola & my other scanner on FM but still zilch.

Thanks anyway all!!

If you want to follow fleetnet, get a second scanner for it.
A Pro 94 or a BC 245 are inexpensive, and trunk it without a problem

I too have a Pro-95, and then bought a used Pro-94 just for the analog fleetnet system
